I captured this image looking west in Oklahoma City towards the fairgrounds as the sun was setting. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Oklahoma City December Setting Sun

The material I was looking for finally came in and it’s been a real joy to pour over.  A very nice freelance journalist over in Arkansas was kind enough to provide me with some really great stuff.  I can tell she got a lot out of it.  I’m looking forward to talking with her more. Friendships are invaluable

PoinsettaSome people have been reporting the page doesn’t completely fade when they click on one of the images.  I think they are all running the Internet Explorer 7.0.

d70s.jpgNow that I’ve done my spring cleaning in the winter, gotten my Blog up and running, fixed the Gallery on the Blog and had the chance to get some paperwork done, I took the liberty of putting together several of my favorite photos in an album and lugged that around with me for the last couple of days.  Just to kindof show off some of the things I’ve been doing this year. My gosh what a mess. I’ve just been taking the snow days I’ve had off and cleaning, grouping, tagging, and describing all the photos I’ve been taking over the last few months. (more…)

Short post now that we’re back from Missouri.  This is only a test. Just a shot of dad’s tractor to show you how great this little blog could look.

I’ve been working through the mechanics of really close-up photography using my tripod, bellows, 50mm Lense, and flash.  I’ve been able to get some really incredible detail with this type of macro photography.

I love the internet.  It has allowed me to get in touch with other photographers around the country who are willing to share their knowledge.  I’m expecting a DVD from a great photographer in Pennsylvania any day. I’m sure the snow will delay it some but I’m looking forward to learning all about his style of pose.

With everything else going on in my life, it would be very easy to let up on learning new things.  What can I say, I absolutely love photography so I don’t consider it “work”.
