I’m not a huge fan of prepared lists because they can take away from my creativity. When I have to concentrate on a list of traditional photos I tend to lose a bit of creative sight. Most photographers will end up taking those photos anyway but making them an absolute requirement takes a lot away from the photojournalistic approach.

Since Jorryn’s birth, I’ve really been excited about preserving those special moments that come out of nowhere. She’s becoming quite a ham for the camara and I love taking all those pictures. I can really explore my creativity with her for as long as she’s up to it … usually about 30 minutes. It’s really great fun! Last weekend, she was sitting on mom’s lap while we were at the rodeo. The look in her eyes as she watched everyone parade through the arena on horses was priceless. I’m glad I was able to catch it.

We took our second little road trip since Jorryn came into our lives.  We went to Dallas, had good food, had good times and had a chance to unwind.  Of course I couldn’t help from taking lots of photos while I was there.  We went to the Galleria on Sunday and got some really wonderful images of J&J.
